Stage 2 (5-6 yrs)

In the 4-5 age group program, children continue to expand their knowledge and skills in all areas of development. They participate in structured learning activities that promote language fluency, mathematical reasoning, and scientific exploration. Teachers guide children in reading and discussing age-appropriate books, encouraging comprehension and critical thinking. Mathematical concepts are introduced through hands-on activities, such as sorting, measuring, and counting objects. Children also engage in scientific investigations, exploring topics like plants, animals, and the environment.

Design

At the Kindergarten stage, we strive to create a dynamic and engaging environment where children can thrive, develop a strong foundation of academic knowledge, and acquire essential life skills. Children of this age are truly impressive, moving effortlessly from strength to strength as they grow in leaps and bounds. Our curriculum is designed not just to keep up with these little explorers, but to actively help them expand their horizons, hypothesise and reflect upon what they learn and also give them the necessary tools to apply it to their daily lives and how they experience the world around them.

Both structured and self-directed play foster the burgeoning independence in a child, making them confident, creative and compassionate individuals. Through experiential learning, children are not simply given verbal cues, they are given an immersive experience into the topic, where each child participates and gets the opportunity to touch, see, hear and sense, coming to their own conclusions which they then discuss with their facilitator. This gives children a safe space to think, ponder and talk about their experience which in turn enhances imagination and empowers them with tools of analytical thinking.

The 5-6 age group program focuses on preparing children for a smooth transition to primary school. We emphasize the development of advanced language and literacy skills, including reading comprehension and writing abilities. Children engage in mathematical problem-solving, scientific investigations, and hands-on experiments. Teachers guide children in exploring more complex topics, such as the human body, space, and the environment. They also focus on social-emotional development, encouraging leadership skills, empathy, and independence.
